Despite the constant criticism of Claude Puel since his appointment as Leicester City manager, the Frenchman has still done a fairly decent job at the King Power.
This season, the Foxes have managed to pick up five Premier League wins and are only a few points off the likes of Everton and Watford who have both been deemed to be having good seasons.
That being said, there is still much work to be done with up front on the pitch just one area where Puel will be hoping for improvement.
Talisman Jamie Vardy has not been firing on all cylinders with there clearly being some sort of disconnect between the 31-year-old and Puel, while Kelechi Iheanacho’s struggles in front of goal from the last campaign have been carried into this one.
With that in mind, it could be time for Puel to bring another forward into the squad, and one possible name for the Leicester boss to look at is Spanish youngster Raul Uche.
Uche arrived at the King Power from Rayo Vallecano back in 2016, but has spent most of his time at the club playing for the U23 side. Uche, though, certainly has something to offer to the first team with the 21-year-old believing his game is perfectly suited to English football.
“I think I will adapt well,” Uche told AS (via the Daily Mail) after joining the Foxes. “My style of play is more like English than Spanish football. I have a more physical game.”
With the January transfer window fast approaching, Puel is likely to dip into the transfer market if he is not content with his first-team strikers. But in Uche, the former Southampton manager could have a chance to save millions.
