Almost halfway through the season and it is fair to say Everton’s summer signings have had a huge impact on their campaign.
And none more so than Richarlison who has given the Toffees an extra bit of quality in attack since arriving from Watford back in July.
Having initially joined the Merseyside club for big money to give manager Marco Silva another option out wide, the Brazilian has since been moved up front due to Cenk Tosun’s struggles in front of goal and is thriving there.
All in all, Everton’s forward line has been rejuvenated with the addition of Richarlison, and things would get even better if Silva raided his former side again for one of their key players in Roberto Pereyra.
The 27-year-old has been in fantastic form for the Hornets this season — already matching his total Premier League goal tally from the last campaign (5) — and would bring so much to this Everton attack.
Looking at Everton’s squad, however, Silva is hardly starved of options in that department, especially after the summer with the club having brought in both Richarlison and Bernard.
On top of that, Gylfi Sigurdsson is also playing at a much higher level compared to last term now that he is being used in his preferred No.10 position.
Going forward, though, it would still be wise for the Toffees to add a player of Pereyra’s profile and quality to their ranks as they look to break into the top four.
The Argentina international is a more mobile attacking midfielder with better movement compared to Sigurdsson who can be a bit static at times, while his final ball is superior to that of Bernard’s by some distance.
With that in mind, Everton absolutely have to irk Watford again by taking another one of their stars.
