Wolves fans must be kicking themselves after their side’s recent draw with Chelsea as they were moments away from pulling off a magnificent victory. But, Nuno Espirito Santo’s men can hold their heads high as they’ve become a bogey team for many of the Premier League’s top clubs.
One of the reasons the Midlands club find themselves thriving in the Premier League is because of the magnificent transfer window business that has been completed at Molineux. Indeed, the likes of Raul Jimenez, Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves have been three of Wolves’ stars and the one thing they all have in common is Jorge Mendes.
Therefore, with Nuno Santo possibly already preparing for a busy summer transfer window, perhaps he’ll turn to Jorge Mendes in the hope that he can bring another special talent to Molineux.
However, they didn’t manage to secure the services of the Portugal international as he joined Spanish side Valencia for £36 million. But, things haven’t exactly worked out for him at the Mestalla Stadium as he’s only made 22 appearances and has produced just one goal.
His stats may not be impressive this season but he still has the potential to become a star in the future, with a move to Wolves helping kickstart his football career. Nuno Santo has already managed to get the best out of a number of Portuguese players during his time in the Midlands, and Guedes could be the next on the list.
The 22-year-old is another one of Jorge Mendes’ clients and it’s safe to say that a number of his clients have already developed into stars at Wolves, so why not take a punt with Guedes.
Molineux may erupt if the attacker makes his way to the Premier League as his pace, skill and dribbling ability would send fans crazy, and he’s shown that he can score and create in the final third. Also, he’s played alongside the likes of Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho on the international stage, so he’d fit right in.
Wolverhampton Wanderers fans, would you like to see Guedes at Molineux? Surely he’s better than the likes of Adama Traore, Ivan Cavaleiro and Helder Costa…
