Wolverhampton Wanderers won’t feel too confident about their European hopes at this moment in time as the likes of Everton, Watford and Leicester City are all closing in.
The Midlands club will need to ensure consistency if they are to stand any chance of meeting their aims, but Wolves fans will feel confident that their side can get the job done.
Interestingly, it appears as if Nuno Espirito Santo has turned his attention towards the summer transfer window, as according to Telefoot (via HITC), Wolves are interested in signing Marseille’s Morgan Sanson.
One area of weakness for Wolves in the current campaign has been creativity in the final third as they’ve struggled to produce defence-splitting passes with Ruben Neves often being man-marked.
Morgan Sanson could be the perfect player to provide more creativity in the final third for the Midlands club as he’s produced four goals and four assists this season. He loves to get forward and influence the game in the final third, as well as tracking back and making vital interventions in the defensive third.
Of course, it would be difficult for Nuno Santo to ditch one of his current three midfielders as Leander Dendoncker, Neves and Joao Moutinho have been rather impressive, but Sanson would certainly give them a run for their money.
However, he could come at a price as he’s valued at £22.5 million (by Transfermarkt) but that hasn’t troubled Wolves in the past as Fosun International have splashed the cash freely.
He’s the kind of midfielder who could take Wolves to the next level if they manage to secure a place in Europe as he’s one of the hottest topics in the Ligue 1 at this moment in time.
