Aston Villa have been a completely new side since Jack Grealish returned from injury as they’ve won their last four games in the Championship, with the Englishman producing two goals and one assist.
Supporters will forever be grateful for what Grealish has done for the club and he could still help them secure promotion to the Premier League this season, with a play-off place in their sights.
Although, one big worry in recent times has been the 23-year-old’s future, as according to the Express, Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a summer move for Grealish.
Of course, with Gareth Southgate stating that he’ll only pick Grealish for the England squad if he’s playing in the Premier League and with the midfielder possibly eyeing the step up, it would make sense for Dean Smith to start looking at a potential replacement for the Englishman.
One player who could fill the potential huge void at Villa Park is Blackburn Rovers’ Bradley Dack.
The attacking midfielder, who cost just £765k (as per Transfermarkt), was linked (as per The Sun, 22nd January 2019, page 51) (via HITC) with a move to Villa back in the January transfer window but nothing came of it.
Dack has gone under the radar slightly in recent times at Ewood Park but he’s produced some quite astonishing stats in the current campaign, as he has an impressive 15 goals and eight assists to his name. He’s very similar to Grealish in many ways as he possesses the ability to glide past defenders, as well as creating and finding the back of the net.
Also, with Tammy Abraham making the step up to the Premier League at the end of the season it would make sense to bring Dack to Villa Park as he could make up for some of the Chelsea man’s goals.
