Nottingham Forest failed to secure all three points last time out as they suffered defeat at the hands of Preston North End at the City Ground.
Forest have been completely redefined under the guidance of Aitor Karanka in the current campaign, as they continue to work towards securing a play-off spot.
However, with the January transfer window on the horizon, one of Forest’s star men has been attracting interest from a number of clubs, as Watford, Cardiff City and West Bromwich Albion are all interested in Joe Lolley.
So, Karanka will need to start looking at potential replacements for the former Huddersfield Town man, who could be lured away from the City Ground in January.
Lolley has established himself as one of the star performers in the Championship this season, with seven goals and seven assists to his name already. But, with the attacker attracting interest from a number of clubs, Forest will need to look at bringing in a potential replacement.
One player that has been tearing up the Championship this season is Preston North End’s Callum Robinson. The Republic of Ireland international has produced 10 goals and two assists from out wide.
Robinson is very similar to Lolley in many ways as he looks to use his pace and strength to get himself into promising areas, before unleashing a strike from distance or getting on the end of crosses. But, one thing that the Preston winger can bring to the City Ground is trickery, which is an aspect of Lolley’s game that hasn’t quite developed.
So, with Robinson still having the whole of his football career ahead of him at the age of 23, and having produced a large amount of goals already this season, there’s no doubt that he could fill the huge void if Forest lose their man.
