Tottenham Hotspur are through to the semi-final of the Carabao Cup after getting the better of bitter rivals Arsenal at the Emirates recently.
Spurs now have the opportunity to secure a piece of silverware, as well as a top-four spot and potential Champions League glory, but the Carabao Cup is definitely their best option.
However, with the January transfer window on the horizon, perhaps Mauricio Pochettino is already looking at a couple of possible additions to sure things up.
Indeed, the Lilywhites were linked with a number of players back in the summer transfer window but nothing came of it, so supporters will be desperate to see some movement this time round.
One player that Spurs were heavily linked with back in the summer transfer window was Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, who hasn’t been able to live up to expectations in the current campaign. Indeed, with the Englishman struggling to contribute in the final third this season, perhaps the Lilywhites should look elsewhere for an attacker.
Interestingly, it appears as if that’s exactly what they’ve done as Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly been plotting a move for Bradley Dack, who has established himself as one of the standout performers in the Championship.
The attacking midfielder currently has an impressive 11 goals and seven assists to his name in the current campaign, so it comes as no surprise that Spurs are interested in securing his services.
But, they aren’t the only team interested as London rivals West Ham United are also believed to be in the race to sign the attacker. The Hammers have been chasing him for a long time, so the last thing they’d want is for one of the top-six clubs in the Premier League to swoop in for his services.
Mauricio Pochettino could easily upset the Hammers if Daniel Levy was to launch a raid on the Championship club, as European football and a new stadium would surely be too tempting.
