Rangers face a crucial match against Hamilton in The Scottish Premiership tomorrow, one that may shape their season.
Steven Gerrard’s men travel to the ninth place outfit knowing that anything less than a win may seriously dent their title chances.
Currently in sixth place, the two teams immediately above The Gers, Livingston and Kilmarnock, face the bottom two sides, Dundee United and St Mirren respectively. With a win likely for both teams, Rangers cannot afford to let any space grow between them.
Then, second and third place Hibernian and Celtic both face each other. That will be a chance for Rangers to close the gap on the teams at the top of the table with a win. This indicates how fundamental a win is to Gerrard’s men tomorrow.
One man that may prove vital to Rangers’ result tomorrow is 21-year-old Ryan Kent. Since joining in the summer from Liverpool, the forward has been hugely impressive for the Glasgow giants. Capable of playing on either flank, as well as a striker, it is Kent’s versatility that makes him so important to Gerrard.
With the news that Kyle Lafferty is not allowed to play tomorrow due to a ban imposed by Northern Ireland, this makes Kent’s role even more important. Gerrard may opt to have him partner Alfredo Morelos up front, or out wide.
The youngster already has two goals and one assist in seven league games this season, and looks to be getting better and better. His influence will only grow throughout the season, but he will be crucial at New Douglas Park tomorrow.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
