After Arsenal’s crushing loss in the semi-final, the club will be looking to rectify that disappointment last year and go on to win a major European trophy this season.
As Arsene Wenger did last season, Emery has fielded a largely second-string side in the Europa League this season. So far during the group stages, Emery has chosen to rest the likes of Mesut Ozil, Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette for most of the Europea League games.
Emery has a brilliant record in the competition and won it three times in a row during his time with Sevilla. While the Spaniard obviously knows what it takes to win the tournament, he will need some help from some key players.

One man who will play a key role in how well Arsenal do in the Europa League is Aaron Ramsey.
With his current deal running out next summer and with no update on his Arsenal future, it seems likely that Ramsey will likely leave the club either in January or on a free next summer.
Despite being one of Arsenal more important players last season, Ramsey has found it hard to break into the side this season. The 27-year-old scored seven goals in 24 games for the Gunners last season and was one of the few players to actually perform in a side that was pretty woeful.
The Wales midfielder has played six games for Arsenal in the league, while also making seven substitutes appearances. He has scored one goal in the league while also grabbing four assists but as it stands, it looks as though he’s going to be a bit part player in the league for the Gunners.
With Emery playing so many youngsters in the league, he will need to rely on Ramsey to act as one of the more senior players in the side, although he may not be valued in the Premier League side.
