Mings enjoyed a solid England debut in Sofia, with [98 touches of the ball](https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1341282/Live/International-European-Championship-2019-Bulgaria-England) and [85 completed passes out of 89 (the third-most of anyone in the game — via WhoScored)](https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1341282/Live/International-European-Championship-2019-Bulgaria-England), while his performance was commended by [The Telegraph](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/10/14/england-debutant-tyrone-mings-stood-tall-performance-attitude/)‘s Matt Law, who said that “the central defender can be extremely proud of how he conducted himself in an England shirt for the first time”.
