# West Ham United: Fans react to Aaron Cresswell’s impressive start to the season

**Following the recent [upturn in results,](https://www.whufc.com/fixtures/first-team/fixtures-and-results) there is a positive mood around West Ham United. The club posted an appreciation tweet to [Aaron Cresswell](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tag/aaron-cresswell/) following his recent form and many fans have duly reacted to the post.**

The Irons [tweeted](https://twitter.com/WestHam/status/1318839444024086529?s=20) that the 30-year-old has [three assists in his last two matches](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/aaron-cresswell/leistungsdaten/spieler/92571) – two in the emphatic [3-0](https://www.whufc.com/fixtures/first-team/fixtures-and-results) victory at Leicester and another in last Sunday’s dramatic [3-3](https://www.whufc.com/fixtures/first-team/fixtures-and-results) draw against Tottenham.

The mood around east London has not just been improved by results on the pitch, but also by the [signing of Said Benrahma](https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2020/october/16-october/west-ham-united-seal-said-benrahma-loan-deal#:~:text=West%20Ham%20United%20is%20pleased,to%20make%20the%20transfer%20permanent.). With him still to come into the side, the Irons should be even more of a threat than they have been as of late. This makes it a very exciting period for the club.

The defender is receiving plenty of praise from Hammers fans, with one getting very excited over the “Cresswell revival”.

David Moyes has certainly had a part to play in this resurgence, as he has moved Cresswell from a [left-back to a left centre-back](https://m.football-lineups.com/team/West-Ham-United/) in a [formation](https://m.football-lineups.com/team/West-Ham-United/) with five defenders.

### Here’s how some fans have praised Cresswell following the club’s tweet:
