# Is this proof that this Tottenham ace is the best player in Europe?

***The Tottenham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern cannot believe this one…***

After a relatively slow start to the season, Tottenham have picked up the pace over the last few weeks and look set to be a real force in the Premier League this season.

Some key players have come into form at the right time, and Pochettino’s men have looked unstoppable en route to a few dominating displays in the Premier League thus far.

One player that has caught the attention of the punters in the Football Transfer Tavern is Spurs ace Son Heung-Min, who was merely a squad player last season.

After [rumours](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/1699010/tottenham-transfer-news-spurs-to-keep-heung-min-son-after-rejecting-wolfsburgs-24m-offer-for-south-korean-forward/) of foreign interest over the summer, Son has exploded onto the scene over the last few weeks – and looks determined to prove to Mauricio Pochettino that he deserves a place in the Tottenham first team.

Everyone in the Tavern has been appreciative of his performances so far this year – but [according to Whoscored.com](https://www.whoscored.com/Statistics), statistically – he is the best player in Europe.

After getting one assist and 4 goals in 3 games, Son has fired himself to an average rating of 9.2/10 – pushing him to the top of the leaderboard in Europe.

Our landlord knew that Son had made an excellent start to the season – but this is impressive!

Pochettino giving him another chance was a stroke of genius by the Argentine boss.

The Tottenham fans in the Tavern think that he could be the difference maker this year.
