# Tottenham: Isco to be offered to Spurs

**Tottenham will be offered the chance to sign Real Madrid playmaker Isco over the next 14 days, should the player decide to leave the Bernabeu, according to [The Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/transfer-news-live-coutinho-haaland-25833000).**

### The Lowdown: Isco’s situation

Isco, who was once compared to [Zinedine Zidane](https://www.marca.com/2013/06/28/en/football/real_madrid/1372403264.html) by journalist Pablo Polo, has been with Real Madrid since [2013](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/isco/transfers/spieler/85288).

He has made [344](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/isco/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/85288/verein/418) appearances during that time and has scored [84](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/isco/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/85288) goals during his career for club and country.

Now 29, the Spaniard has just six months remaining on his [current contract](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/isco/profil/spieler/85288). Therefore, should they wish, Spurs could now approach Isco’s representatives over a possible pre-contract agreement, although it seems as if Real Madrid could be offering his services in a cut-price January transfer.

### The Latest: Tottenham to be offered Isco

[The Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/transfer-news-live-coutinho-haaland-25833000) shared an update regarding Isco’s future in their live transfer blog on Sunday (10:46). They claimed that Real Madrid will offer his services to Spurs over the next 14 days, should he decide to leave this month.

Carlo Ancelotti doesn’t view the 29-year-old in his long-term plans, with sources close to the player revealing that Isco is set to make a decision on his future following his team’s [next three fixtures](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/real-madrid/spielplandatum/verein/418).

### The Verdict: Shrewd signing?

Antonio Conte has just [one](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tottenham-hotspur/kader/verein/148) senior attacking midfielder on the books at the club in Dele Alli, who has been [linked](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2021/12/13/dele-alli-given-green-light-leave-tottenham-hotspur-january/?utm_content=sport&utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=Echobox&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1639384405-1) with a move away from N17 this month.

On that basis, bringing Isco to Spurs in a possible cut-price deal could be a shrewd move. He has bundles of international and elite level club experience and can also turn out in a [deep-lying role](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/isco/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/85288) or on the [wing](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/isco/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/85288).

He may be set to turn 30 in April, but for the next two to three years, Isco could prove to be a smart addition, with Tottenham yet to replace the [creative void](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/christian-eriksen/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/69633/verein/148) left by Christian Eriksen back in January 2020.
