# It Was The Goal Of The Week

![](https://www.friedpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/messi-celebrates-goal-vs-manchester-united.jpg)

**Each week at t’Tavern we’ll be taking a butchers at the best of the midweek action around the world of football and striving to serve up the cream of the crop.**

If we miss a goal you think should have been included, do try to act like a grown up and simply provide a link. Believe it or not, we have no agenda here and don’t have a prejudice against any clubs. No matter how rubbish they might be. Insert winking smiley.
