# Aston Villa: Fans outraged by Gareth Southgate’s lack of respect towards Jack Grealish

**Many [Aston Villa](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/premier-league/aston-villa/) fans could not believe what [Gareth Southgate](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/premier-league/aston-villa/aston-villa-fans-not-impressed-with-gareth-southgates-jack-grealish-approach/) said after England’s [3-0](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54366319) victory against Wales last night.**

The Three Lions strolled to a comfortable a victory at Wembley Stadium after Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Conor Coady and Danny Ings helped them continue their preparations to face Belgium on Sunday.

Villa captain Jack Grealish started the game and put in an [impressive display](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/international/jack-grealish-england-vs-wales-aston-villa-highlights-mason-mount-southgate-b903420.html) under the arch, but it appeared to go unnoticed by Southgate after the final whistle.

Speaking during his [post-match press conference](https://twitter.com/MrGuilbertt/status/1314326613874683904), the 50-year-old was asked a question about Grealish’s involvement in the game. While he provided a few positive superlatives, Southgate changed the subject and proceeded to gush over Mason Mount, who was a second half substitute.

Unsurprisingly, this brought a negative reaction from plenty of the Villa Park faithful, who strongly believed that the 25-year-old is being deliberately ignored by the England boss.

>
> c) “Fill me, Mount.”
