# Rangers: Fans reminisce about Nikica Jelavic

**The lack of professional football right now has led to many fans reminiscing about times gone by.**

ITV, for example, have pledged to show [the whole of the Euro 96 tournament](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/11272167/itv-euro-96-free-england-coronavirus/), whilst the BBC are playing [re-runs](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/52107168) of old matches from the 1970s and 1980s to replace the usual Match of the Day format. It seems that Rangers are enjoying their own past glories as well.

On Monday, they shared a video of Nikica Jelavic’s fantastic goal against Hearts during his time at Ibrox, as you can see below.

That was just one of 36 goals he managed in [56](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/nikica-jelavic/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/25742) appearances for the Gers, and this shared video on the club’s official Twitter page has led to many discussing just how good a player he was for the Glasgow outfit. One fan has even suggested he was better than current star forward Alfredo Morelos, whilst another said that the Croatian ‘[oozed talent](https://twitter.com/Rab_Mc97/status/1247148784615862272?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw)‘.
