# Wolves: Fans react to Joao Palhinha and Ruben Neves transfer update

**Lots of Wolves fans have been reacting to a transfer update on both Joao Palhinha and Ruben Neves.**

Speaking on Fabrizio Romano’s [Twitch](https://www.twitch.tv/fabrizioromano) show, football journalist [Pedro Sepulveda](https://twitter.com/pedromsepulveda) has claimed (via [Talking Wolves](https://twitter.com/TalkingWolves/status/1413572253959213056)) that the Midlands club will buy Palhinha if Neves moves on from Molineux, with talks already underway to sign the Sporting Lisbon ace in the summer window.

Described as a [‘special’](https://manchesternewstoday.com/defensive-midfielder-manchester-united-should-consider-joao-palhinha/) player last season by Sporting manager Ruben Amorim, Palhinha was key in their 2020/21 title win, winning 9.1 duels per match while also averaging 3.3 tackles, 1.5 interceptions and 1.2 clearances per game ([Sofascore](https://www.sofascore.com/player/joao-palhinha/364612)).

Neves leaving would be a real shame given his [tremendous contributions](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/238244/History/R%C3%BAben-Neves) during four years at Molineux, but Palhinha would not be a bad replacement at all, and some Wolves supporters are even hoping that he can join to play alongside his Portuguese colleague in midfield.
