# Celtic: Fans share mixed response to Jonny Hayes’ St. Johnstone display

**Celtic made it [34 consecutive domestic cup wins](https://twitter.com/CelticFC/status/1234165288062652418) after overcoming St. Johnstone 1-0 in the Scottish Cup on Sunday.**

Having won the League Cup earlier this season and with their fierce rivals being knocked out by Hearts on Saturday, Celtic have a great chance to win the treble again, since they sit 12 points clear in the SPFL.

Neil Lennon has done a terrific job this term but his team had to work hard to overcome Saints as some second-half changes paid off, helping to find a winner in the last ten minutes.

Left-back Jonny Hayes was one of those players who had a positive influence, despite not being first-choice for most of the season, starting just [nine games](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jonny-hayes/leistungsdaten/spieler/52380).

The 32-year-old splits opinion amongst the fanbase but he offered encouragement to his teammates, and left many fans delighted after the Bhoys claimed victory.

Here is some of the reaction to his latest display, with the mixture of praise and criticism showing there is some doubt over his ability.
