# Wolves: Fans impressed with Jose Sa after Dave Edwards comments

**Many Wolves fans have been left impressed with Jose Sa after Dave Edwards gave his analysis of him so far.**

Writing for [The Express & Star](https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/football/wolverhampton-wanderers-fc/2021/10/26/inconsistencies-are-to-beexpected-from-big-change/), Edwards, who played in over 300 games in total for the Midlands club in all competitions over 11 consecutive seasons ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/david-edwards/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/54949/plus/0?saison=&verein=543&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=)), was full of praise for the goalkeeper, and even went as far as to suggest that he is better than Rui Patricio:

*“I don’t think he came with the biggest of reputations and even considering how good Rui Patricio was for a few years, I think Sa has taken it to another level. His distribution and the commandment of his area are really impressive.*

*“They looked good at the back but haven’t really fully flexed from an attacking point-of-view or been as free-flowing as they were early on this term.”*

Sa has settled into the Premier League very well, having only conceded nine goals in his first nine games, the joint-fourth least out of any team ([Premier League](https://www.premierleague.com/tables)).

The Portugal international is also averaging three saves per game, and has already created two big chances, even providing one assist ([SofaScore](https://www.sofascore.com/player/jose-sa/252669)), as a result of his excellent distribution.
