# Journalist reveals Real Madrid raid on Man United seemingly ‘underway’

**With the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern dreaming about the [potential arrival of Real Madrid superstar James Rodriguez](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4510370/James-Rodriguez-agrees-Manchester-United-transfer.html), it seems the two clubs may conduct even more business this summer.**

While the Colombian has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford over the last week or so, a report talking about Keylor Navas in Spanish publication *[AS](https://opinion.as.com/opinion/2017/05/16/portada/1494888217_591630.html)* drops what could be another big transfer line.

The aforementioned stopper is defended in the piece, though journalist Santiago Segurola [hints](https://opinion.as.com/opinion/2017/05/16/portada/1494888217_591630.html) *Los Blancos’* raid on Old Trafford for David De Gea ‘seems to be underway’.

De Gea has been strongly linked with a move to the Spanish capital for what seems like an eternity now and infamously only saw a move collapse in 2015 as the result of a faulty fax machine.

Later on in the piece, Segurola [suggests](https://opinion.as.com/opinion/2017/05/16/portada/1494888217_591630.html) that the 26-year-old’s arrival at the Santiago Bernabeu is ‘taken for granted’ these days.

Though losing De Gea, undoubtedly one of the elite stoppers in the world, will be a big blow for local United fans, they hope arrivals such as [Rodriguez](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4510370/James-Rodriguez-agrees-Manchester-United-transfer.html) could soften the blow.

**Thoughts?**
