# Klopp clears up Rodgers’ mess as Liverpool outcast nears exit

**When Mario Balotelli’s name was mentioned in the Transfer Tavern in the past, the punters would dream with wide eyed wonderment about just what the Italian could do when on-song.**

Well, ever since his failed move to Liverpool two summers ago, it’s fair to say even that excitement has died.

The 25-year old endured a miserable stint with AC Milan on loan last term and while he has returned Merseyside for pre-season, is not expected to be given much of a chance by Jurgen Klopp.

With that in mind, Italian outlet *Tuttosport* (via [talkSPORT](https://talksport.com/football/mario-balotelli-latest-inter-milan-plot-surprise-move-liverpool-flop-160721203766)) suggest the *Azzurri* international could now be set for a FOURTH stint at the San Siro.

They [claim](https://talksport.com/football/mario-balotelli-latest-inter-milan-plot-surprise-move-liverpool-flop-160721203766) that Inter Milan, managed by Roberto Mancini, are considering a move to bring him back to the *Nerazzurri,* having spent the early part of his career there prior to his move to the Etihad.

The club are [understood](https://talksport.com/football/mario-balotelli-latest-inter-milan-plot-surprise-move-liverpool-flop-160721203766) to be after cheap options in the forward department, with skipper Mauro Icardi [linked](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/691802/Mauro-Icardi-Inter-Milan-Arsenal-Chelsea-Tottenham-Bookmakers-Transfer-News-Rumours-Gossip) with moves to both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur,
