# Klopp convinced £8m Moreno replacement is open to Liverpool move

**Fresh from the £25m Georginio Wijnaldum signing, the insatiable Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are already turning their attentions to yet more potential recruits.**

Though Jurgen Klopp is seemingly hell-bent on securing whatever attacking midfielder he may come across, one of the eagle eyed punters in this evening has spotted reports from the Sun.

It [claims](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/1495917/liverpool-transfer-news-anfield-chiefs-set-to-make-one-last-ditch-bid-to-sign-ben-chilwell-from-champions-leicester/), rather surprisingly, that the German is actually after a defender.

Hooray.

The Reds are [reportedly](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/1495917/liverpool-transfer-news-anfield-chiefs-set-to-make-one-last-ditch-bid-to-sign-ben-chilwell-from-champions-leicester/) aiming to make an 11th hour attempt to land Ben Chilwell from Premier League champions Leicester City, despite his negotiating a new deal in the East Midlands.

With Brad Smith set for a £6m move to Bournemouth, those on Merseyside are thought to be planning an [£8m](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/1495917/liverpool-transfer-news-anfield-chiefs-set-to-make-one-last-ditch-bid-to-sign-ben-chilwell-from-champions-leicester/) bid for the England under-21 international.

Klopp is [understood](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/1495917/liverpool-transfer-news-anfield-chiefs-set-to-make-one-last-ditch-bid-to-sign-ben-chilwell-from-champions-leicester/) to be convinced that the 19-year old would be keen on a move to Anfield after being left in the shadows by the Foxes.
