# Klopp has major concern ahead of Liverpool v Tottenham clash

***The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are fearing the worst…***

Liverpool have seriously struggled since the turn of the year, with Jurgen Klopp’s title challenge seemingly going up in smoke in recent weeks.

Their latest defeat, a 2-0 loss against Hull City, summed up their problems perfectly – with a defensive horror show on display at the KC Stadium.

Unfortunately for the Liverpool fans in the Tavern, though, their defensive issues are showing no sign of dissipating. [As per the Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpool-sweating-over-dejan-lovren-9772632), central defender Dejan Lovren – who missed the game against Hull City through injury – has yet to be confirmed fit for the Tottenham clash.

[The Mirror are reporting](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpool-sweating-over-dejan-lovren-9772632) that he is facing a late assessment to determine whether he will be fit, leaving the Reds, including Jurgen Klopp, ‘sweating’ on his availability.

This has come as a huge blow to the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern give how vital Lovren has been this season. Despite a slow start to life at Anfield, Lovren has really impressed since the arrival of Jurgen Klopp.

Lovren has made 20 starts this season, and alongside Joel Matip has formed a key part of Liverpool’s defensive proceedings.

Jurgen Klopp just can’t seem to catch a break at present, with key players including Coutinho, Sadio Mane and now Lovren all being unavailable at one point or another over the last few weeks.
