# Klopp should drop these 2 Liverpool players against Sevilla – agreed?

**Liverpool fans here in the Tavern have become overly excited at the prospect of building on their already promising position in the Champions League.**

Following the international break, Liverpool resumed their dominance with an emphatic 3-0 win over Southampton in what was highly influenced by the performance of Egyptian Mohamed Salah who downed any hopes of an upset at Anfield.

However, as with any performance, it wasn’t perfect, and due to having such a perfectionist in Klopp at the helm, he’ll be sure to flatten out any underlying faults that can be taken from the weekend’s proceedings.

That could mean that he makes a few major changes within the first team. Though most players performed well, there is always room for improvement.

So without any further questions, here are **TWO** Liverpool players that could be on the receiving end of a drop for their midweek clash…

## Trent Alexander-Arnold

The youngster has been rather impressive in any chance given for the Reds so far this season, much to his credit.

Having been given a starting berth against Southampton over the weekend, he managed to pull off a pretty impressive performance from the right-back position, but there were still some negatives that would’ve come to haunt him against a tougher opposition.

He found himself gravitating towards the ball too easily at times, which caused a considerable amount of space being left behind the defence for the opposition attackers to run into. Although, still at the young age of 19, this is all a learning process for the youngster.

Indeed, Joe Gomez knocking on the door could spell the end of his time in the starting line up for now in what is a vital fixture in the hunt for the first seed spot.

## Jordan Henderson

Jordan Henderson saw himself return to the Liverpool starting XI straight off the back of a short-lived injury, with Klopp needing a calm and collective captains performance from the central midfielder.

In recent weeks, the England international has been used in a resting cycle in Champions League games with fellow central midfielder Emre Can to keep a freshness about their play. Given Henderson’s recent injury return, it would make sense to do this once again.

What’s more, although he delivered a fairly good performance in his return to the side, it wasn’t all perfect with him on the opposite end of some dreaded Kop criticism down to his lack of adventure in bringing the ball forward for much of the match.

So, as everything gets taken into consideration, a straight swap for Can should be on the cards once again.
