# Klopp’s Liverpool keen on £22m-rated forward

**Though there’s so much attacking talent to praise for the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern right now, there’s nothing quite like the idea of bringing in another forward.**

Having watched their side draw 2-2 with Sunderland yesterday, the Reds propping up the bar are perhaps not quite as convinced their devastating frontline is enough as things stand.

So, reports from *[Squawka](https://www.squawka.com/news/liverpool-line-up-swoop-for-22m-benfica-striker-raul-jimenez/866386?tag=exp098-20)* have excited the Kop faithful in the pub.

They’ve [revealed](https://www.squawka.com/news/liverpool-line-up-swoop-for-22m-benfica-striker-raul-jimenez/866386?tag=exp098-20) the Anfield titans are keen on signing Benfica forward Raul Jimenez in the summer, following his decent goal scoring form in the Portuguese capital.

The 25-year-old has notched eight goals in 18 games this term and while the Reds are [reportedly](https://www.squawka.com/news/liverpool-line-up-swoop-for-22m-benfica-striker-raul-jimenez/866386?tag=exp098-20) understanding of the fact he won’t be allowed to leave in January, could [apparently](https://www.squawka.com/news/liverpool-line-up-swoop-for-22m-benfica-striker-raul-jimenez/866386?tag=exp098-20) make a move in the summer.

It’s [believed](https://www.squawka.com/news/liverpool-line-up-swoop-for-22m-benfica-striker-raul-jimenez/866386?tag=exp098-20) top brass on Merseyside view the [£22m-rated](https://www.squawka.com/news/liverpool-line-up-swoop-for-22m-benfica-striker-raul-jimenez/866386?tag=exp098-20) Mexican as someone who could one day become a star with the club and the punters propping up the bar are inclined to agree.

With the long-term future of Daniel Sturridge still a talking point amongst our drinkers, they hope Jimenez could potentially prove a good replacement.
