# Koeman expects clubs to make move for frustrated Everton man in 2017

**For the Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern, life under Ronald Koeman has been a mixed bag of late, despite a strong start to the campaign.**

Perhaps indicative of the club’s struggles of late has been golden boy Ross Barkley, who has often invoked the ire of the Toffees in the Tavern this term.

For a player with so much potential, his poor decision making is seemingly costing him a place for both club and country.

So, as much as they don’t welcome such reports, the Goodison Park faithful propping up the bar haven’t been surprised to see a story coming from [Bleacher Report](https://twitter.com/br_uk/status/806076458338779137).

They’ve [revealed](https://twitter.com/br_uk/status/806076458338779137) concern is growing over the midfielder’s future on Merseyside, with under two years to run on his current deal.

While Everton were [said](https://twitter.com/br_uk/status/806076458338779137) to have been keen on extending his deal, that now appears unlikely as they expect interested parties to make moves in 2017.

Ronald Koeman is [thought](https://twitter.com/br_uk/status/806076458338779137) to have viewed the England international as someone to lead his team forward, though has recently been forced to drop him after his run of poor form.

**Just what exactly is wrong with Ross Barkley? Let us know below…**
