### The Verdict: What a coup

Kuol looks a great coup for Newcastle as they look to bring in the best young talent across the globe to grow with them in their long-term project under PIF.

He had managed [four goals and three assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/garang-kuol/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/967948) in 14 other senior appearances for Central Coast Mariners before his brace, and he has recently been rewarded for his impressive performances by being picked in the [Australia squad](https://twitter.com/Socceroos/status/1589846826353852418) for the [World Cup](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/world-cup-2022/) in Qatar.

It is scary to think that Kuol is just 18 years of age, so the Magpies appear to have got a real gem on their hands.
