Barcelona: Fans agree with Marco Reus’ comments ahead of tonight’s clash

The Champions League group stage returns this evening, as Borussia Dortmund welcome Barcelona to Signal Iduna Park.

The Bundesliga giants have began their domestic campaign promisingly, winning three of their four opening league fixtures.

Lucien Favre’s men lie second in the Bundesliga standings – behind current leaders RB Leipzig by just a single point – and head into their Champions League showdown with Barca on the back of thrashing Bayer Leverkusen 4-0 at the weekend, so do take a great deal of momentum into tonight’s tie.

Barcelona endured a slow start to their season, losing their opening fixture against Athletic Bilbao 1-0 last month. However, since that disappointing result, Ernesto Valverde’s men have taken seven points from a potential nine, defeating Valencia 5-2 on Saturday.

Lionel Messi has so far been absent after sustaining a calf injury during the summer, but is expected to return this evening for the Catalans’ European opener in Germany, via BBC Sport.

Dortmund skipper Marco Reus isn’t afraid of the threat that Barcelona carry, though, and is confident that his side will have what it takes to beat the La Liga champions and Lionel Messi, should the Argentine feature.

He’s not alone, either, with these far-from-optimistic Barca fans agreeing with his comments…
