Jordi Alba and Ansu Fati are back in training for Barcelona and what a boost that could be as they look to close the five-point gap on Real Madrid at the top of La Liga.
Was missing out on Neymar a blessing in disguise for Barcelona?
Alba has been out since picking up a hamstring injury against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League and Fati has been struggling with knee problems over the past week.
Prior to this spell on the side lines, Alba hadn’t missed a game through injury since October 2017, when he missed three matches, and fans will hope his return will see the club climb out of fifth place. Fati has played 174 La Liga minutes for Barcelona this season despite only being 16-years-old.
The two were pictured back in training on Saturday, and the club’s official Twitter account posted the news to their 31 million followers, including the caption “Look who’s baaack!”. Fans took to the replies to celebrate their returns.
