Barcelona didn’t have the start to their 2019/20 Champions League campaign they would have wanted, as they drew 0-0 against Borussia Dortmund.
However, things could have been worse if it had not been for a Marc-Andre ter Stegen masterclass, with the German saving Marco Reus’ penalty and 4 strikes in total, as per WhoScored.
While the 27-year-old will take plenty of plaudits for his performance, Luis Suarez certainly hasn’t for his after the club’s official Twitter account posted about him:

While Barcelona focused on the statistic of his total appearances, goals and assists for the club, their supporters had their attention on an entirely different one: the Uruguayan has not scored an away goal in the Champions League since the 2015/16 campaign, as reported by Marca.
In addition, the 32-year-old has only scored five European goals in the last three years, having notched seven and eight respectively during his first two campaigns in Barcelona colours.
The closest he came to beating Roman Burki on the night was an effort from a very tight angle, which the Dortmund goalkeeper deflected out for a corner with his outstretched right hand, as shown in the highlights video on the BT Sport YouTube channel.
A selection of Twitter reaction to the statistic, including posts from outraged Barcelona fans, can be seen below:
