Barcelona have reportedly submitted a €15m (£12.9m) offer for 17-year-old striker Karim Adeyemi, according to Transfermarkt.
The young Red Bull Salzburg front man is held in extremely high regard by La Masia director and former Barcelona player Patrick Kluivert, who is allegedly desperate to bring him to Spain.
Should Barcelona sign Lautaro Martinez?
Currently playing at FC Liefering – RB Salzburg’s feeder club – Adeyemi trains with Salzburg’s first team and has also featured for the club’s youth team in the UEFA Youth League, where he has scored twice in two games.
After the success of 17-year-old starlet Ansu Fati this season, Barcelona are keen on bedding in more young talent, with Adeyemi viewed as the perfect new arrival.
It does beg the question, though, why do Barca feel as though they need another young striker when they have one of the world’s best talents – Antoine Griezmann – in that position, but barely use him through the middle?
Here’s how some Barca fans reacted to the Adeyemi rumours on Twitter, and it’s fair to say that it’s gathered some pretty mixed feedback…

Why go for someone similar to Ansu Fati when we have Ansu Fati himself… who’s also spending most of his time on the bench?

Trust me guys this isn't a bad move.
However it was being reported earlier that a deal will be struck for 10 – 12M but the kid is special. He will play for juvenil A or Barca b if he comes.
