Just playing a quiet game of pool at the Transfer Tavern, when we hear, that the agent of Luis Fabiano has told a Spanish radio station that, he is confident of the Brazilian International joining Serie A giants AC Milan this summer.
Jose Fuentes believes that the Sevilla striker is bound for the fashion capital after Rossoneri vice-president Adriano Galliani confirmed, that the Brazilian was their sole transfer target after they withdrew any interest in Real Madrid frontman Klaas Jan Huntelaar.
A deal between the two clubs has yet to be agreed with the player’s €30m buy-out clause at the La Liga side being the stumbling block for Milan.
Despite this, Fuentes is confident that Fabiano will be plying his trade at the San Siro and confirmed that his client hasspoken with Milan coach and compatriot Leonardo.
When asked about talks between Fabiano and Leonardo, Fuentes said: “Has he spoken with him?” Certainly.
“I am happy to hear Galliani’s comments and we hope the matter can be resolved positively. The buy-out clause is 30million euros, but with some good will there can be an agreement between Milan and Sevilla.
“I’m really optimistic because Milan want the player and he wants to join the Rossoneri.”
So what sort of beverage fuelled this one from Fabiano’s agent? Is the Sevilla striker really set for a move to the Milanese side? Should this rumour Fly or Die?
