Over by the video jukebox at The Transfer Tavern Paco Muñoz from AS spills the beans on a shock move by RCD Mallorca for Portuguese legend Luis Figo.
The playmaker hung up his boots at the end of last season after spending four seasons at Inter Milan, during which he lifted four Serie A titles, one Coppa Italia and three Italian Super Cups, but could be in a line to come out of retirement after new Mallorca owner Carlos Gonzalez completed his €5 million takeover of the club this morning.
It is expected that Gonzalez will offer former Real Madrid and Barcelona star Figo €3.5 million to play for just one season with the Barralets.
What sort of refreshment was behind the airing of this tale? Is Figo really going to dust off his boots to return to La Liga? Should this rumour Fly or Die?
