Real Madrid have made a habit of signing the world’s biggest names throughout history.
The likes of Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo, Luis Figo, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo (among many others) have all passed through the Bernabeu in recent decades, and next year the club could acquire another huge name – PSG forward Kylian Mbappe.
That is according to a report from Bleacher Report.
The 20-year-old is deemed to be the hottest prospect in world football, already winning the World Cup with France in 2018 alongside three consecutive Ligue 1 titles with both Monaco and PSG, and the Coupe de France with the Parisians in 2017-18 (via Transfermarkt).
Mbappe’s talents seemingly have no end, with him displaying just how devastating he is in front of goal in the Champions League last week, scoring a second-half hat-trick after coming off the substitutes’ bench against Club Brugge.
Indeed, this season alone the £180m-rated forward (via Transfermarkt) has scored eight goals and laid off four assists for PSG, despite missing six games of the early campaign through injury. It is these types of statistics that have seen Mbappe become one of the world’s best footballers, with his stance among the very best arguably just underneath Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Madrid would be a force to be reckoned with with the France international in their side alongside the plethora of current superstars currently plying their trade in the Spanish capital – the likes of Eden Hazard, Karim Benzema and Toni Kroos – and are also one of very few teams in world football with the financial capabilities to be able to prize him away from the Parc des Princes.
If Mbappe is to really kick on and attempt to become the very best in the business, especially with Ronaldo and Messi now nearing the back-end of their respective careers, he really must test himself in a more competitive league. Madrid could be the perfect destination for the young star, who – quite literally – has the world at his feet right now.
