It’s been a truly miserable few weeks for the West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern, with many wishing the first season at the London Stadium hadn’t yet started.
The Hammers were thumped 4-2 away at West Brom over the course of the weekend, in a campaign that has been littered with problems at their new home.
Now, according to the Sun, things in East London could be about to get worse.
They claim contract talks to extend Slaven Bilic’s deal with the Irons have been stalled after a disastrous start to his second season.
It is claimed the former Besiktas and Croatia coach could be SACKED if results do not improve over the next month or so.
Currently sitting in the relegation zone, initial talks are believed to have begun in regards to an extension a month ago.
A popular figure amongst the Irons in the Tavern, the former Hammers defender guided them to a seventh placed finish during his first season in charge.
“You normally don’t have to wait that long to find out how it’s going to go”, a club insider is quoted as saying.
“Half a dozen games usually tells you what you need to know.”
Will Bilic last the season? Let us know below…
