Leeds United managed to extend their lead over Sheffield United yesterday at Elland Road as Jack Harrison sealed all three points with the only goal of the game.
The Whites may want to start looking towards the summer transfer window after taking a step closer towards securing promotion yesterday, with four games remaining.
What’s the News?
However, one worry for Leeds supporters yesterday was Liam Cooper’s injury as he pulled a glute muscle shortly before kick-off at Elland Road and was replaced by Gaetano Berardi.
According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Cooper is expected to undergo scans tomorrow.
Gaetano Berardi managed to do a solid job and could easily slot in if Cooper’s injury keeps him out for a while, but losing him for a couple of games could prove costly.
Leeds United fans will be praying that Liam Cooper’s injury isn’t too bad as his experience would be missed at the back. Indeed, the Whites still have to face Aston Villa which certainly won’t be easy as they’re the form team in the Championship at this moment in time, so Berardi may need to be at his best.
Pontus Jansson and Cooper have played a big part at the heart of the defence for Leeds United up until this point in the current campaign, so the main aim for Marcelo Bielsa will be to get the Englishman back and playing.
But, for now, Leeds fans will face an anxious wait to hear the results of the scan.
Leeds United fans, how big of a loss would Cooper be? Join in with the discussion below by sharing your thoughts with us.
