Nottingham Forest fans here in the Tavern are hoping that their side can finally score a goal, after failing to find the back of the net in their last six Championship outings.
Forest will be desperate to return to winning ways after losing their last six Championship games, as they welcome Ipswich Town side to the City Ground later on today. Although, it looks like Aitor Karanka will be without one of his senior strikers, as according to BBC Sport’s pre-match team news, Daryl Murphy has been carrying a calf injury which again saw him miss out in their last outing.
Daryl Murphy has struggled to break into the side over the past couple of months as injuries and a drop in form has seen him lose his place, with Aitor Karanka opting for youth over experience.
And, it looks as if the striker will struggle to earn any more minutes from here on in until the end of the season, as he continues to suffer from a calf injury which kept him out once again in their 1-0 loss midweek, with today’s match also looking like coming too soon.
Aitor Karanka will be disappointed not to have Daryl Murphy in his squad to face Ipswich Town later today, as experience will be crucial at this point in their campaign. Although, this does give the manager a chance to take a look at some of the other players at his disposal, as Murphy continues on his road to recovery.
