Nottingham Forest fans here in the Tavern are praying that their side can cause an upset later on today, after inflicting defeat on Ipswich Town last weekend.
Interestingly, Forest managed to end their goalscoring drought last time out, as a 2-1 victory against Ipswich Town had many of our local residents feeling happy once again. And, they also received some good news on the injury front, as according to BBC Sport’s pre-match team news, Daryl Murphy is training again after a calf injury.
Indeed, Daryl Murphy is one of the more senior squad members at the City Ground after joining from Newcastle United in the summer, but he’s failed to make it onto the field recently as an injury continues to take its toll.
Sadly, the Republic of Ireland international is currently recovering from a calf injury that has halted his progress in recent times, but it appears that he’s now back in training and could return before the end of the season.
Of course, Nottingham Forest could benefit from his experience and ability to find the back of the net, after going on a goalscoring drought prior to last weekend’s victory.
Nottingham Forest supporters will be pleased to see the experienced striker back in training, as he could play a big part from here on in until the end of the season. And, after struggling for goals in recent times, the 35-year-old could help iron over any underlying problems.
