Fulham fans here in the Tavern are feeling anxious ahead of the Championship play-off final, as they face Aston Villa at Wembley.
Slavisa Jokanovic has worked wonders at Craven Cottage this season as his Fulham side remain on course for promotion to the Premier League. And, it looks as if the London club could be in for one hell of a summer if they manage to secure promotion, as according to the Evening Standard, Fulham owner Shahid Khan is ready to spend in the transfer market this summer.
Many of our local residents are praying that their side can secure promotion to the Premier League this season, as they could lose the likes of Tom Cairney, Ryan Fredericks, Ryan Sessegnon and Slavisa Jokanovic if they fail to do so.
Although, it looks as if Shahid Khan is ready to spend in the transfer market this summer if they ensure promotion, as they’ll need to strengthen their side in preparation for top-flight football.
So, the London club may be able to challenge some of the biggest clubs in English football next season if everything goes to plan, as the Championship play-off final will be crucial to the club’s future.
Fulham will be desperate to hold onto their star players and manager this summer, but this will all depend on whether they can secure promotion against Aston Villa. And, with owner Shahid Khan now stating that he is ready to spend in the transfer market if they go up, many of our local residents are even more worried about the final.
