Sheffield Wednesday fans here in the Tavern are desperate for their side to gather some momentum, after securing all three points against Hull City last time out.
Interestingly, the Owls have been rather impressive since Jos Luhukay took over towards the start of January, as they’ve managed to crawl away from the relegation zone and have enjoyed a decent run of results. And, many of our local residents received some positive news prior to kick-off at Hillsborough later on today, as according to Sheffield Wednesday’s official Twitter account, Daniel Pudil, Lucas Joao and Atdhe Nuhiu are all back in contention for today’s match against Reading.
Indeed, Jos Luhukay has been without his main man Atdhe Nuhiu since he picked up an injury against Queens Park Rangers, but he is now back in contention for today’s match against the Royals.
Similarly, Lucas Joao has been one half of the unstoppable strike force that has sent shockwaves through the Championship, however, he could also return at Hillsborough later on today after picking up a knock against QPR.
Lastly, Daniel Pudil has been influential in his newly-found position as a central defender and could also return today, after picking up a slight knock in the same game as Joao and Nuhiu.
This is a massive boost for Sheffield Wednesday as they could be set to welcome three of their best players back into the squad, with many of our local residents now expecting nothing less than a victory. Although, after securing all three points against Hull City last weekend, it will be tough for the boss to draft all three players straight back into the starting lineup.
