# Manchester United: Potential transfer spree of ‘three to five’ signings have Red Devils supporters rubbishing update

**According to a report from the [Manchester Evening News](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-utd-transfer-news-summer-17724074), the Red Devils could be targeting ‘[three to five](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-utd-transfer-news-summer-17724074)‘ summer additions as they prepare for a huge 2020/2021 overhaul – but some supporters don’t believe this potential tactic from Ed Woodward is a real proposition.**

United, who currently lie [eighth](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/table) in the Premier League having won just [one of their last five](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/table) games, are preparing for a tight race to Champions League qualification – signing Sporting Lisbon star Bruno Fernandes in January for [£47m](https://www.manutd.com/en/news/detail/man-utd-complete-the-signing-of-bruno-fernandes-from-sporting) in a bid to sure up their attacking line.

However, according to this report from the [Manchester Evening News](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-utd-transfer-news-summer-17724074), United aren’t done there, with a huge summer overhaul apparently talking place as Woodward and co chase ‘three to five’ signings before the 2020/21 season. A midfielder, general attacker and striker are being ‘[prioritised](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-utd-transfer-news-summer-17724074)‘ as key areas for the Reds to strengthen, but these United supporters aren’t exactly ecstatic over the report, taking to Twitter and rubbishing the ‘[miracle](https://publish.twitter.com/?query=https%3A%2F%2Ftwitter.com%2Fbawunah%2Fstatus%2F1227197092457742336&widget=Tweet)‘ transfer strategy.
