Portsmouth have all the work to do if they want to achieve promotion back into the Championship this season.
The League One promotion race is really heating up and Portsmouth are right in the thick of it.
They will hope to keep up the good performances and realise their full potential with a move back up into the Championship, where anything is possible from there.
Portsmouth are now a steady club, with good players and a reliable chairman in place, meaning that if they get it right, the sky could be the limit for the historic club.
Whether they achieve promotion or not, Portsmouth need to bring in some exciting players during the summer transfer window, of which one of those could be West Ham’s Grady Diangana.
Diangana, (who is valued at £1.3 million on Transfermarkt) would be an exciting addition at Fratton Park, with a loan spell from West Ham sure to benefit all involved.
Whether Pompey gain promotion or not, they can still believe they have enough to attract the talented youngster to join and help improve their team.
The 20-year-old has made his mark with the West Ham first team this season but with little experience prior to this campaign, a loan spell could do him the world of good, knowing that he will get a lot of time on the pitch.
He scored two goals in the Hammers 8-0 demolishing of Macclesfield and has since featured in the Premier League 13 times.
Having seen Andre Green go back to Aston Villa, Portsmouth could really have done with a player of Diangana’s quality now but with West Ham short of options themselves, a deal may only be possible in the summer.
Should Pompey loan Diangana in the summer… Let us know!
