Portsmouth: Lots of Pompey supporters loved Ellis Harrison’s two-goal performance against Southend

It’s been some time since Portsmouth have managed to beat a side by three goals, yet last night against Southend provided the south coast team with their first big win of the season, and for Ellis Harrison, it was another big outing for the striker.

The former Ipswich Town attacker bagged his second brace of the season in all competitions (per Transfermarkt) as the 25-year-old striker was influential in Pompey’s 4-1 win over a Southend team that have claimed just one win all season (per BBC Sport).

It was a good night to be a Portsmouth supporter, and on social media, fans were quick to praise Harrison for his big performance against Sol Campbell’s side, with the three points from the evening being enough to see Pompey shoot up to within five points of the League One play-off spots with a game in hand in the League One table (per the EFL’s official website).

Here’s what Portsmouth fans had to say about Harrison’s performance on Twitter, with plenty of supporters praising the 25-year-old striker for his vital influence on the 4-1 win against the Shrimpers…

Portsmouth fans, can the side keep build from this performance? Let us know!
