Portsmouth: Many fans are concerned by the prospect of a postponement

Ross McCrorie, Ronan Curtis and Craig MacGillivray have all received national team call-ups, as reported on Portsmouth’s official Twitter page.
Will Kenny Jackett still be Portsmouth manager by the end of the season?
Yes

No

The trio will play for Scotland under-21s, Republic of Ireland and Scotland respectively, with their games set to clash with Pompey’s home fixture against Gillingham on Saturday October 12th:

This means that while many Portsmouth fans will be happy for the players regarding their achievement, they are also concerned about the prospect of their game being postponed.
Kenny Jackett has already taken the decision to do this earlier in the season for the Southend United game, due to the same issue.
However, Pompey have played two fewer games than the majority of the teams in League One, which has got many fans concerned about the possibility of a fixture build-up, stating that they feel it would be in the club’s interest to play despite the absentees.
A selection of Twitter reaction to the announcement, including posts from decisive Portsmouth fans, can be seen below:
We can’t afford another free week , play the game imo , Chuck bass in goal and harness for Curtis

Only postpone if you’re replacing Jackett

Great, another game off then! That’s all we need

Play the game! Only Big Mac is the major loss. Chuck on Harness and Williams on the wings.

Play it. Curtis & McCrorie no loss at mo only the Keeping situation. If Kenny goes then McGee gets a lifeline on and pushes Big Mac for a starting spot. Bass to be loaned out on a development loan. But KJ needs to be sacked first and that’s not happening. Poor Luke McGee!!

Cue another postponement!
