The Carabao Cup has given us some great ties this year, but Portsmouth coming up against Southampton could prove to be the best of the lot.
The last meeting between these two came all the way back in 2012, when they drew 2-2 in the Championship, as per 11v11.
Pompey were the last team to win a game in this fixture, when they beat the Saints 4-1 during their 2010 FA Cup campaign.
So there was plenty of excitement when the announcement came that they would be facing off again:

The South Coast Derby may not have been played for seven years, but it is clear to see from the reaction that it still means a lot to the supporters of both clubs.
They are currently two leagues apart, but there seems to be a confidence that Pompey will be able to continue their four-game unbeaten run against their rivals and come out with another win on the night.
This feeling will be strengthened by the fact that they have already beaten two Championship teams, putting three past Birmingham City and two past Queens Park Rangers without reply.
If this game lives up to the early expectations then supporters could be in for an absolute cracker.
