Portsmouth may have won against Bolton Wanderers, thanks to a Brett Pitman header, but many fans are still not satisfied.
Will Kenny Jackett still be Portsmouth manager by the end of the season?
The 1-0 victory has taken Pompey up a place to 19th with nine points in eight matches, as per BBC Sport, though that is still not deemed good enough, while fans are also unhappy with the style of football being played under Kenny Jackett.
Portsmouth’s official Twitter account disregarded any frustrations, choosing to focus on the positives after the game:
We’re delighted that we gave you something to cheer about today
— Portsmouth FC (@Pompey) September 28, 2019
However, there are many Pompey fans who weren’t able to put their negative feelings aside and felt that even the atmosphere wasn’t what the club were making it out to be.
This is a definite sign that things are not right at Fratton Park at the moment, with many making it clear that things will improve once Kenny Jackett is out of the club.
A selection of Twitter reaction to the club statement, including posts from frustrated Portsmouth fans, can be seen below:
Sack jackett and we’ll cheer more

Are you having a laugh? It was absolutely dire! When will the Eisners realise Jackett must go?

Great support? I’ve never heard the away stand drown out the Pompey fans or the fratton end to be so quiet. Says it all really when the loudest cheers were when Curtis went off. We didn’t deserve the win

It was even worse than last week at Wycombe. Absolute trash but at least we got 3 points. Long old trip to Doncaster next Saturday #Jacketout

You really didn’t

Funny that, some of your players don’t believe we as the 12th man were there
