Sunderland have made a number of additions this summer to help them to an unbeaten start to life in League One.
It is believed that Jack Ross does not anticipate the club bringing in any new recruits, although it is understood that he still holds hopes of adding another striker to his ranks before the loan deadline expires.
Sunderland have seen Josh Maja net three goals in three starts to help take the pressure off the side to find the back of the net, whilst Charlie Wyke and Jerome Sinclair both recover from their respective injuries.
And, when asked about possible signings, Ross remained rather coy on the situation.
“I don’t anticipate any at the moment but I have said that previously,” he told the Shields Gazette.
“On my side it is such a busy week that all my work is focused on preparing for these two games and that the players have an understanding of what we will face and what we need to do to win the games.”
Sunderland have started life in League One extremely well and will have been delighted with the performances of the players so far.
Ross would have been wary of where the goals would have come from when Wyke and Sinclair were both injured, however, Maja has come up with the goods in their absence.
Sunderland would benefit from getting another striker in on loan, however, with the deadline fast approaching, it remains to be seen if someone else will join them at the Stadium of Light in the next week or so.
