It is claimed that the documentation required is expected to arrive sometime today, making Maja’s move from the Stadium of Light imminent.
The 20-year-old has been one of the Black Cats’ most important players this season as they look to bounce back to the Championship.
The striker has scored 15 goals in his 25 League One appearances, however, it appears Sunderland are keen to cash in on him after he declared that he would not sign a new contract to extend his stay beyond the summer.
With just one more document for the transfer to be completed, it appears Maja’s exit is almost done and dusted.
Sunderland will have been disappointed to lose a player of the striker’s potential and ability.
The 20-year-old has been a standout in their quest for promotion this season and the Black Cats will be hoping they will be able to cope without him for the final part of the campaign.
