Our Sunderland fans here in the Transfer Tavern have begun to accept that it’s more than likely they are going to drop into the Championship this season.
The Black Cats have been going terribly this year and whilst most of the other sides around them in the drop zone have managed to find form at some point in the campaign, they have not.
Indeed, after losing to Watford at the weekend the men from the north-east are now really adrift of safety and our landlord can only see them now going one way.
Certainly, then, the pressure is on David Moyes to try and save this sinking ship and he appears to be feeling it – as per The Telegraph.
That’s because after questioning from a BBC reporter he threatened that he would slap her should she ask similar questions to the ones after the defeat at Vicarage Road.
Certainly, then, not behaviour that can be easily excused but the report’s writer Luke Edwards also revealed that the club would not be sacking Moyes as he apparently apologised soon after the incident.
