After rumours emerged recently that Sunderland were wanting to sign Celtic winger Lewis Morgan, we discussed how that helps The Black Cats’ promotion chances.
The 22-year-old was with manager Jack Ross last season at St Mirren, where they achieved promotion to the Scottish Premiership. However, he has struggled to establish himself this campaign at Parkhead.
With that in mind, we asked you whether Morgan would help secure promotion for The Black Cats from League One this season, and these were the results:
Sunderland fans are obviously admirers of Morgan, with 80% believing that he will secure them promotion back to the Championship. They must be aware of the winger’s success under Ross last season, where he managed 14 goals and six assists in the league in St Mirren’s promotion-winning season. The fans can only hope that he can replicate that kind of form again at the Stadium of Light if he were to join.
